Tēnā koe ,
As we wrap up our First National Series, I'm delighted by the stimulating discussions and the connections forged with numerous new faces, as well as the opportunity to reconnect with many of our valued members.
As this ForuM arrives in your inbox on International Women's Day, it's fitting to honour our incredible women, although I firmly believe that every day should celebrate their contributions, particularly in FM—a field where women excel. I'm continually inspired by the remarkable women I encounter through our committees and membership, each dedicated to advancing our industry. A special thanks to all the remarkable men who support and champion them. Speaking of women, stay tuned as we share stories of the exceptional young women recently awarded FMANZ Scholarships, who are passionately pursuing careers in FM.
In the theme of celebration, Our Awards are now officially open for entries. Don't miss the deadline; due to the newly introduced second round of judging involving formal interviews, there will be no extensions.
Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting Nic Burt, FMA CEO, and Board Member Sharon Pollard, who joined our board for two days of shared learning and collaboration. It proved to be an exciting and inspiring start to our year and strategic planning as we continue to advance the industry on both sides of the Tasman.
I hope your year has kicked off well, although I understand that the workload never seems to relent.
Kia pai tō rā whakatā, have a great weekend
