A WORD FROM OUR SPONSOR
DEALING WITH GRAFFITI
Graffiti or tagging is a common form of vandalism. These unsightly words, colours and shapes can lower property values and encourage more vandalism and other types of crime. It is important to address tagging as soon as possible to limit the ‘glory’ the tagger has. For best removal results a potential high tagging area should be coated in a film forming Anti-graffiti coating such as Resene GraffitiShield
If removing for the first time try in this order;
- A detergent, such as dishwashing liquid.
- A solvent such as paint thinner, methylated spirits, oven cleaner or branded graffiti removal products. Chemicals in graffiti removal products can be hazardous so be sure to use protective clothing including a mask.
Generally, a standard painted wall is easy to keep graffiti free also because any further tags can simply be painted over in the same colour as the original.
Call your local council to report graffiti or visit
www.graffitifree.co.nz for more information.

Be the tenth person to correctly guess and you'll win a $50 Prezzy card, just like Chrissy Prescott from Smales Farm, who correctly guessed last month's microscopic image was common dust.
