As part of FMANZ’s new Professional Development Pathways Series, Building Networks’ Rosie Killip will share her vast and in-depth knowledge of building law to introduce junior FMs to the world of building compliance and get you up to speed with everything you need to know.

This 101 workshop has been developed for junior FMs and cover:
  • What are the responsibilities of building owners and facilities managers?
  • What building control processes do you need to know?
  • What work can contractors/tenants do on-site without a building consent?
  • What do you need to check before leasing or taking over a building?
  • When are building consents and Code Compliance Certificates necessary?
  • How to check the feasibility of upgrades and alterations to existing buildings.
  • When are Certificates for Public Use needed?
  • The lowdown on compulsory safety checks of systems through compliance schedules and BWOFs.
Attendees at Rosie's sessions have saved countless hours and dollars in building compliance simply by knowing what questions to ask contractors and what to say no to. Rosie’s practical, humorous and engaging style will ensure you leave this two-day workshop armed with tools and tips you can use immediately.
